Our services

Fire protection consulting engineering

We offer several services related to various fire protection specialties: fire pumps, sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, hydraulic calculations, seismic, specialized extinguishing systems, and fire alarm systems.

Our services include developing plans and specifications, carrying out risk studies, water tests, and MIC tests, and producing compliance reports, as needed. We also offer several fire protection consulting services, including hydraulic analyses and verification and upgrade of fire protection systems in existing buildings.

Plans and specifications

Design of fire protection systems

  • Fire pumps
  • Sprinkler systems (CMDA, CMSA, and ESFR)
  • 1 ½ in. (38 mm) and 2 1/2 in. (65 mm) standpipe systems
  • Piping (black steel, galvanized steel, copper, etc.)
  • Hydraulic calculations
  • Seismic
  • Extinguishing systems:
ESFR (Early Suppression Fast Response) water systems
    Conventional air systems
    Air systems using nitrogen
Double interlock and more preaction systems
DUAL systems (preaction and NOVEC 1230 gas)
  • Specialized extinguishing systems:
    CO2 systems
    Water mist systems
    Foam systems
  • Fire alarm systems

We assess fire risks and determine the appropriate protective measures to put in place to protect people and property against fires, in compliance with current standards, codes, and regulations. We develop complete plans and specifications for coordination, permit, proposal, and construction. Our plans are clear, coordinated, and precise. Plans are signed and sealed by an engineer.

A quotation including all the steps to be followed during installation is provided to guarantee lasting quality and finish.

An inspection report is also provided upon completion of the installation.

Fire protection risk studies

We also carry out fire protection risk assessments. This involves an in-depth risk analysis, vulnerability assessment, and the implementation of appropriate protective measures.

Warehousing risk studies

Our range of services also includes fire protection risk studies for warehouses. The objective of this study is to identify the necessary protective measures related to sprinkler systems to ensure the protection of people and property against fire hazards. This study takes into account the specific features of the warehouse, the nature of the stored goods, the storage methods, and the equipment present.

Water tests and MIC tests

Water tests

We can provide flow and pressure tests.

These tests verify the performance of fire protection systems and determine whether the flow and pressure are sufficient to supply fire protection equipment, such as automatic sprinkler systems.

A range of test equipment is available, including Hose Monster and Pitotless.

A complete report is prepared, including measurements taken, photos, charts used for gallonage measurements, and the flow and pressure curve.

MIC tests (Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion)

We also carry out MIC (Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion) tests on water fire protection systems, aimed at detecting the presence of bacteria causing pipe corrosion. A complete report is provided.

Early detection of bacteria can prevent major damage and ensure the reliability of the fire protection system. MIC tests enable the identification of preventive measures that need to be implemented to control bacterial growth and extend system life.

Compliance reports (FM Global or other insurers)

Our services also include preparing compliance reports to certify that the work carried out corresponds to the plans and specifications and meets the requirements of FM Global or other insurers.

Fire protection consulting services

We also offer fire protection (sprinkler systems) and fire alarm consulting services. You can rely on our experts to advise you on the best solutions and guide you through complying with current applicable standards, codes, and regulations.

Hydraulic analyses

We perform hydraulic analyses of sprinkler systems with a report or opinion to meet your insurer’s requirements.

Hydraulic tests are an important part of sprinkler system maintenance. They ensure that the system is in good condition, that it can function properly in the event of a fire, and that it complies with current safety standards.

System verification

  • We verify that the system in place is adequate for the risks involved.
  • We inspect the various system components and equipment.
  • We perform hydraulic calculations to verify the system’s performance.
  • We validate the sizing of the fire pump (flow rate, pressure, motor power, etc.).
  • We draw up a list of any work to be carried out.

Upgrading to standards

Our team of expert fire protection engineers can also help optimize existing systems to improve their performance and compliance with standards, and assist building owners and managers with upgrading their fire protection systems to standards.
